The gorgeous ripple afghan I showed you a few days ago, which happens to look pretty great with the bargello-stitched pillow cover I found a while back:

A belt from the 60's (I think) with suede fringed ends, a nice planter and a vintage silk scarf:

More brightly colored enamelware plates. Why am I seemingly unable to resist these? Couldn't tell ya:

Glass hurricanes with lovely bread plates underneath by Villeroy and Boch. And that's a vintage remnant as the backdrop:

A tooled leather peacock handbag:

More candle holders! ( I know.......I know... how many candle holders does one woman need? Don't know the answer to that one, either, I'm afraid.) And the fabric remnant again:

Christmas, too - including a nice box of Shiny Brites:

I probably get more excited about finding Christmas stuff than I do anything else.

i get excited about christmas items too!!!! that peacock purse is something else heidi!!
Heidi, part of the reason your thrift store finds are so great is that you know how to pair them with other items to make them pop! I think I made that same afghan in 1974;) How great is that purse?! Twyla
Thank you, Twyla - that was a really sweet thing to say!
I saw this afghan the other day and meant to leave a comment - I have the exact same one, made by my beloved Nanny. She must have been a crocheting machine, because a lot of my family members have a ripple afghan. I just love it!
