



You know, I'm afraid that I may very well have set an impossible goal for myself with this posting every single day business. I still have so much more to do before Christmas, and I don't have Betsy to help me in the kitchen!
Those gingerbread cookies aren't exactly going to bake themselves, so I had best get busy....

We had the McCall's Cookbook Collection which included this Cookie Book. I LOVED the photos of the big Betsy McCall in the kitchen. I always loved looking at photos of Doll "scenes" like these. Since then, I've been on a mad quest to find the doll. I believe it was made for one year in 1961, although I've found on ebay two different sizes (20 and 22 inch, i believe). Alas, they are too expensive. I'll keep looking at my cookbook photos and thank you for the digital photos. - Sally
